Essential to prevent future complications

Gait analysis

The gait analysis is a biomechanical evaluation that analyzes how the feet support the body’s weight and how movements are performed while walking, running, or standing. First, we conduct a thorough history of the patient's pain, with an assessment of any diagnostic tests they may provide. We analyze the foot and its movements, focusing on tendons, ligaments, and painful joints. Then, using specialized technology, such as pressure platforms and advanced sensors, we perform the analysis. This process helps identify imbalances in gait, postural alterations, and structural issues in the feet that can lead to discomfort or injuries in the knees, hips, or back.

In addition to being a key tool for diagnosing and treating existing ailments, gait analysis is essential for preventing future complications. This process enables the design of personalized treatments, such as custom orthotic insoles. It provides tailored solutions and follow-up care based on individual needs to improve performance in daily life, sports, or work for each patient.

Pressure platform

The pressure platform allows real-time recording of the intensity of pressure in different areas of the foot.

This analysis can be performed statically, with the patient standing, or dynamically during walking or running, providing detailed information about the gait cycle. The results are presented as color maps, where warm tones indicate high-pressure areas, and cool tones represent low-pressure areas, facilitating the interpretation of the biomechanical analysis.

What makes the pressure platform an indispensable tool in podiatry is its ability to provide a precise and detailed diagnosis, personalized treatment for each patient, and assistance in preventing injuries.

Pressure platform results

The pressure platform provides a visual and graphical representation of the results, allowing us to identify areas of overload, the shape of the plantar arch, and other key aspects of your feet's biomechanical behavior. This analysis offers numerous benefits, such as a precise diagnosis by detecting problems not visible to the naked eye, such as excessive pronation or supination. Additionally, it helps prevent injuries by identifying walking patterns that could cause pain or long-term injuries. With the data obtained, we can design personalized treatments, such as custom orthotics, to correct imbalances and improve pressure distribution in the foot. It is also a valuable tool for optimizing sports performance, helping prevent injuries caused by imbalances in the gait. The analysis is conducted both dynamically, while moving, and statically, at rest, providing a complete view of how your feet behave in different situations.

Podoscope

A podoscope is a device used to evaluate how the feet bear the body's weight and distribute pressure in a static position. It is an essential tool in the biomechanical study of the feet, helping to diagnose potential imbalances or abnormalities that may lead to discomfort, pain, or long-term health issues.

The podoscope consists of a transparent platform illuminated from below, allowing observation of the sole of the foot while the patient stands or performs specific movements. When weight is applied to the surface, a detailed image of the plantar footprint is projected, highlighting weight distribution and areas of higher pressure.
